My journey from Pasir Ris Crest Secondary School to becoming a working trainee did not happen overnight.

At Pasir Ris Crest, I was a student learning about myself, other people and the world around me. I was encouraged to face challenges, build resilience, care for others, believe in myself and become responsible for my actions.

I did not know then how much those lessons would follow me into adulthood.

Today, as a working trainee, I face a different kind of classroom. My classroom is the workplace. Instead of school subjects, I learn practical skills, teamwork, responsibility, communication and workplace expectations.

Some days are comfortable. Other days are challenging. There are moments when I make mistakes, feel left out or wonder whether I am doing well enough. But those experiences have also taught me something important: growing up does not mean never struggling. It means learning how to keep moving forward.

The resilience I developed as a Crestian now helps me get through difficult working days.

The responsibility I learned as a student helps me take my work seriously.

The self-belief I am still developing reminds me that other people's reactions do not completely define my worth.

And the care I learned reminds me to remain kind even when things around me are difficult.

I am no longer the same girl who walked through the gates of Pasir Ris Crest.

I am Celine — an adult, a working trainee, an author, a creative person and someone still discovering what she is capable of.

My journey is still being written.

From Crestian to working trainee.
From student to worker.
From challenges to growth.
From hardship to hope. 🌸

And perhaps the biggest lesson of all is this:

I don't have to be perfect to be progressing.

Every day I keep learning, I am becoming the person I am meant to be.
